Welcome to Ruthie Mae Blooms!

RMB is a small woman-owned cut flower farm located in the scenic countryside of west central Missouri. My name is Melissa, and I’m so glad you found me! The journey to starting my farm began when my son asked me to grow the flowers for his wedding. With 30 years of experience in home gardening, I knew I loved getting my hands dirty and bringing things to life— but cut flowers opened a whole new world to me. That’s when I discovered a new passion I didn't know I needed at 50 years young — growing beautiful, fresh cut flowers. It wasn't long before friends and locals started asking to buy my flowers and encouraging me to keep growing. While I was hesitant at first, I knew I couldn't stop growing these beauties that touched so many. The farm was born very unintentionally and has grown every year since.

I named the farm Ruthie Mae Blooms in honor of my grandmothers, Ruth and Rachel Mae, who taught me so much about gardening, love for the earth, and the beautiful impact they have on others. Their influence of hard work and commitment is woven into every part of our farm, from the flowers we grow to the community we serve.

At Ruthie Mae Blooms, we offer a variety of ways for people to connect with nature and celebrate special moments. We’re a place where families, couples, and friends come together to enjoy the beauty of flowers. For individuals, Ruthie Mae Blooms offers a variety of ways to connect with nature and celebrate special moments, including U-pick fields, handcrafted bouquets, local bloom bars, and bulk bloom buckets. For businesses, such as florists, we provide wholesale flowers and foliage, ensuring access to fresh, locally grown product.

Our farm specializes in a wide variety of cut flowers, including dahlias, lisianthus, snapdragons, tuberose, eucalyptus, specialty zinnias, sunflowers, native plants, cosmos, celosia, and more. Many of our flowers are specifically bred for cutting, ensuring they’re not only beautiful but also long-lasting. We propagate most of our flowers from seed, tubers, and cuttings right here on the farm, ensuring each bloom is grown with love and care.

The most magical times of the day on the farm are during sunrise and sunset, when the flowers are bathed in soft light, and the air is filled with the scent of nature’s finest creations. We’re proud to be part of the growing community of locally grown cut flower sellers in the U.S., offering fresher flowers than imported options, often cut and delivered within 24-48 hours.
